Plurotus ostrutus?
Russula brevipes Short-stalked Russula...always pushes up dirt as it emerges...VERY common in Alaska
are they edible?
Actually, looks more like the poplar milk cap, Lactarius controversus. Grows with aspen, poplar, etc., needs processing to be edible.
